We are delighted to once again be part of Will Aid's Make a Will Month. During the forthcoming month of November we will write a basic Will without charging our usual fee. Instead we will invite you to donate to the Will Aid group of charities. The suggested donation is £75 for a single Will or £100 for a pair of 'mirror' Wills. This is a great chance to get a professionally drawn up Will and to help some of our best loved charities at the same time. For more information click below.

We are delighted to announce that we have become one of the first firms to gain accreditation of The Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme. Practices applying to join the scheme undergo a robust assessment and will be required to renew their membership of the scheme each year. The aim of the scheme is to reinforce consistency of standards throughout the conveyancing process, reduce the risk of fraud and give consumers peace of mind when it comes to home buying.

Many thanks to our clients for helping us to raise a worthy contribution of £1,005.00 for charity under the Will Aid Scheme. We look forward to taking up the offer of Nottingham Land Registry to have a dedicated team at Nottingham to deal with all of our client's Land Registry applications, regardless of where in the country the property and land is located. We are pleased to report that Bilton Hammond has successfully completed the Legal Services Commission legal aid tendering process for a Family Law contract at our Mansfield and Chesterfield Offices, securing continuing work for the firm and continuing access to family legal aid for the local community.

Congratulations to 'Team Bilton', who came runners up in the MALA Cup. The Mansfield Area Law Association (MALA) kindly put on the 5-a-Side football tournament, which included a number of teams from local Solicitors, including Elliot Mather, Phillips, Hopkins and Fidler & Pepper. Team Bilton fought of some stiff opposition from those firms, in less than perfect conditions, to bring home the silverware pictured beneath.

Bilton Hammond is proud to be one of the founder member organisations of NAN, whose aim is to bring together a number of accredited advice partners under a single point of contact.
